PLC training courses

January 2001 Training & Education

Specifically designed to familiarise technical personnel with the programming and operating procedures of the Omron programmable controllers. The courses are 'hands on' and good for first time users of PLCs as well as those that feel the need for a 'refresher' course.

Due to the popularity of these training courses, applicants are encouraged to make their reservations telephonically and follow up with the faxed confirmation. If the applicant's company has an account with Yelland, an official company order should also be sent.

Basic and Intermediate (B+I) - 2 days - (Monday and Tuesday)

* Introduction to PLCs, I/O structures and memory areas.

* Ladder and function block circuit design.

* Operating the handheld programmer unit.

* Programming practical examples in statement list.

Advanced Level (ADV) - 3 days -Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

* Overview of PLCs and Syswin programming software.

* Programming advanced function blocks for encoders, hexadecimal keypad, seven-segment displays, thumbwheel switches, PID etc.

* Programming subroutines steps sequencing and interrupts.

* The prerequisite for delegates is computer literacy with MS Windows '95.
