Especially designed for the food industry, IFM Electronic's PI stainless steel pressure sensors are maintenance-free and provide safe operation in a temperature range from -25 to +125°C. Their ceramic measuring cell, with a purity of 99,9%, lies on a Teflon flat seal that conforms to FDA. It is pre-stressed on the medium side by means of a metal spring-ring seal providing stable operation.
By eliminating an O-ring for support or sealing, the PI sensor is easily cleaned and is suitable for aseptic and CIP/SIP applications. Even under difficult dynamic conditions, the sensor remains resistant to overloads and vacuums.
Parameter setting of the sensors to the measuring point is possible via an optional programmable module. A modular connection concept with the tried and tested Aseptoflex sealing concept allows the selection of the process connection in-situ.
Meeting IP67 requirements, the PI pressure sensors are vibration and shock resistant with pressure ranges from 0,013 to 10 bar. The sensors have a four-wire PNP/NPN design and gold plated contacts.
