The new IPT pressure transmitter from WIKA is seen as a suitable complement to the UniTrans family. The large span of measuring ranges still stretches from 10 to 400 kPa. With an additional turn down of 1:30 and an accuracy of 0,075% the instrument is good for applications in the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.
It has classification Ex ia and Ex d for either ATEX or FM, making it possible to use it in almost all dust and gas explosion-hazard areas world-wide. A rating in accordance with SIL2 is also available. Output signals are selectable from 4 to 20 mA/HART or Foundation Fieldbus, enabling problem-free integration into existing control systems. Simple operation and parameter configuration can be made with the manufacturer-independent PACTware configuration software using device-specific DTMs. Alternatively the instrument settings can be input via a plastic foil keyboard. The display offers the accustomed high level of information with clear presentation, and can, if necessary, be mounted remotely from the instrument.
Where there is a higher requirement for robustness, ease-of-cleaning and chemical stability, the IPT is also available in a stainless steel housing. A large selection of process connections rounds the product range off. With all these features the IPT is a suitable solution for even the most demanding measuring applications in the process, chemical engineering and food and beverage industries.
