Machine safety products catalogue

June 2006 News

Banner Engineering has introduced its completely redesigned 2006-2007 Machine Safety Products catalogue with more than 300 full-colour pages of its comprehensive line of safety products.

This edition of the safety catalogue incorporates the same enhancements the company made to the recently released sensors catalogue. For example, the dimension drawings were simplified, accessory information was added on the first page of each product section, the detailed specification charts were modified to include 'More Information Online' icons to guide the reader to more detailed information on Banner's website. The efficient layout delivers critical product and application information about thousands of machine safety products, making searching for safety products easier.

The catalogue opens with the 'What's New' section, highlighting Banner's newly introduced machine safety products - including additions to the EZ-Screen Series safety light screens and Pico-Guard fibre-optic safety systems. The body of the catalogue is organised into seven easy-to-read parts filled with detailed information: safety light screens, two-hand control modules, safety modules, safety interlock switches, emergency stop devices, accessories and reference.

The catalogue includes the latest accessories, including cables and wiring products, brackets, mirrors, stands and solutions for harsh-duty environments. It includes complete selection charts, colour images and dimensions for the items listed. The all-new bracket section includes drawing illustrating critical dimensions and product compatibility. Located in one easy-to-navigate section, it offers the user a detailed resource of all safety accessories, for a complete safety solution.

Also worth noting is the extensive reference section that includes an expanded glossary and conversion tables, detailed wiring and hook-up diagrams and a listing of products with agency certifications. The new intuitive 'iKnow Guide to Machine Safety' offers a brief overview to implementing Banner products for machine safety applications through simple explanations and illustrations. More Information Online icons are incorporated to guide the reader to expanded information online at bannerengineering.com.

Multiple navigation options make product selection easier. The user can navigate the catalogue using the comprehensive selection guide at the front of the catalogue or the product family selection guide at the beginning of each section. The side tabs provide an alternate navigation option. In the front material, the eye-catching Application section illustrates ways to use safety products in industrial settings and provides page references to the featured products. The Banner 2006-2007 Machine Safety Products catalogues are available free of charge from RET Automation.
