IFM Electronic's PN5/PN7 pressure sensors provide quick and easy machine diagnosis, ensuring trouble-free and reliable operation up to 60 MPa with liquids and up to 2,5 MPa when used with gases. The PN5/PN7 features a menu option that allows the output logic of the switching function to be changed from pnp to npn switching. Both types allow the pressure units, bar/mbar, kPa/MPa or psi to be selected, allowing OEMs to use the same type of pressure switch, regardless of where the machine is to be installed.
The current measured values and parameter settings are indicated on the four-digit, 10-segment alphanumeric display. It is clearly visible over long distances, making setup, maintenance and operation easier. The display is slanted, enabling optimum reading from long distances and at different angles.
Meeting IP67 requirements, the pressure sensors are resistant to vibration and shock and provide drift-free operation for more than 100-million pressure cycles. An electronic lock protects the units against unauthorised access.
Also available from IFM, are the scaleable PN2/PN3 pressure sensors that are suitable for multifunctional worldwide use. Their analog output is selectable between 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 V d.c. and the analog start/end point enables user-specific setting of the zero point and span. Their ceramic capacitive measuring principle makes the sensors immune to overload conditions and high pressure peaks.
