Wago reports that with the addition of more modules and more approvals, its range of components for marine applications and approvals of the Wago-I/O-System 750 is growing. Wago believes that that high quality standard of this industrial system is the reason, and customers who implement applications onshore also benefit from the additional safety.

Further I/O modules, couplers and programmable controllers of the Wago-I/O-System 750 have received important international approvals for use in shipbuilding and in onshore/offshore applications. Products include the economical eight-channel digital modules and four-channel analog modules, as well as DeviceNet couplers and controllers. They received the ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), GL (Germanischer Lloyd) and DNV (De Norske Veritas) approvals.

The ABS approval, up to now a PDA (Product Design Assessment), has been extended by the PTA (Product Type Approval). Regular inspection and guarantee of the highest product quality are thus certified by an independent institution. Continuous extension of the range of approved products ensure that Wago can now offer one of the largest ranges of I/O modules with ship approval.
