Tectra Automation is now offering the Datasensor range of photoelectric sensors along with its other automation products. These sensors are designed for detection, safety, measurement and inspection in industrial automation. The Datasensor S51 series offers three main advantages: Increased operating distance, installation versatility, and significant operating improvements. The S51 ensures a stronger signal on short distances and better detection of distant objects. It also offers major detection safety in the presence of dust or other critical environmental conditions typical of industrial applications.
Installation of the S51 range is versatile and simplified, particularly with the plastic axial S51-PA and radial S51-PR versions. These two products feature the adoption of a flexible, flat housing. Improved electromagnetic compatibility is afforded by a shield that is integrated with the sensor housing. This increases resistance against disturbances from electrical lines or other electronic devices. The sealing parts and implantation of new optics, ensures reliable IP67 mechanical protection and increased resistance to penetration of fine dusts and liquids. Correct sensor functioning is also ensured in the presence of intense interference from ambient light, sunlight, and other light sources. In short, these sensors offer a cost-competitive solution for challenging industrial environments.
