Gail Norton Instrumentation is offering all-metal proximity sensors that feature high resistance to corrosion caused by cleansing and disinfecting agents, or the organic acids from foods. The cable versions are pressure-resistant to 8 MPa (M12)/6 MPa (M18)/4 MPa (M30).
The devices feature a degree of protection rating to IP68 + IP69K and operate over long distances on both steel and aluminium. They have rugged one-piece housing (includes the sensing face) made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel (V4A/AISI 316L/DIN 1.4435) Connection is made by means of a food-safe TPE-S cable or S12 connector.
Applications include dairy products, canning industry, beverages and breweries, slaughterhouses, meat processing, animal farming (feeding and free-range installations) and food processing machines.
