Fibre-optic product range extended

Tactron Technologies, distributor of the IFS (International Fibre Systems) range of fibre-optic transceivers, now has a greater range of products suitable for the process and automation sectors. Both multimode and single mode products are available with a choice of box or rack mount versions. All IFS products are environmentally hardened and encompass the following protocols:

* RS232/422/485 (2-wire and 4-wire, exceeding RS 250C haul specifications).

* Self-healing ring as well as drop and repeat.

* 10/100Base Ethernet (self-sensing).

* Redundant, managed Ethernet switches (up to 1 Gb/s).

* Contact closure as well as bi-directional contact closure.

* Emergency audio broadcasting.

* PABX and Touch Tone interfaces.

* T1/E1 (CCIT) interfaces.

* Video and data interfaces.

* Current loop interfaces.

Tactron Technologies is not only a distributor of the IFS range, but also offers assistance in system design, pre-installation rack building and supply of fibre accessories such as mid couplers and patch panels.
