Durable toroidal sensor for harsh chemical processes

Rosemount Analytical is offering its Tefzel Model 228 submersion/insertion conductivity sensor. The combination of the Tefzel housing and robust single-body construction offers high durability to ensure long-lasting, accurate conductivity measurement in the harshest industrial processes - from metal plating to chemical and hydrocarbon processing.

The Model 228 toroidal sensor is a low-cost choice for hard-to-measure processes. Toroidal (inductive) technology is unaffected by sensor-coating substances, such as oil or carbonates, flow rates and direction of flow, so the need for routine maintenance is eliminated. Due to Tefzel's superior chemical resistance, it is the material of choice for processes containing concentrated strong acids, alcohols and aldehydes. The sensor is capable of measuring from 0-2 000 000 microseimens/cm. One sensor can address almost all conductivity process requirements.

The compact design of the Model 228 allows for insertion into small process lines down to 11/2". Other types of mounting configurations, materials (PEEK and poly-propylene) and designs are also available in the 200 Series toroidal conductivity sensor line for flow-through and sanitary applications.
