Intrinsically safe, the FS series of inflammable sensors was developed to meet tougher mining industry standards. Approved to Ex ia I/IIC, the devices are also optionally available with flame-proof housing to EX d I. The intrinsically safe approval means the FS sensor series can be continuously operated without shutting down the power when dangerous gas levels are exceeded.
Three optional three-wire signal formats are offered, including 4 to 20 mA, 0,4 to 2 mA output and 0 to 1 mA. The instruments consume less than 25 mA from a 12 to 30 V d.c. power supply.
