Turck is offering its Q21R version of the EZ-track line of programmable, non-contact linear displacement transducers (LDT). The Q21R series offers an enhanced internal resolution of 25 mm (16-bit analog output) in an accurate, auto-tuning, low profile package. A repeatability of 0,006% of the full stroke can also be achieved.
The Q21R series has many unique features including the ability to sense a magnet other than the standard slide magnet, and adjust the signal strength accordingly. All of the EZ-track LDT have a programming feature that allows the analog output to be programmed over the active stroke length of the sensor. Utilising magnetostrictive technology, the Q21R monitors the position of a magnet along the active stroke without causing any wear on the sensor parts, making it the ideal sensor for applications where continuous linear feedback and high resolution are necessary.
The EZ-track Q21R sensors are 13,5 to 30 V d.c. units, with a variety of analog outputs and are offered in stroke lengths from 130 mm to 4,5 m. The anodised aluminium housing is sealed to an IP 67 rating with an optional IP 68 rated style available for more robust applications. The Q21R LDT has a standard 5-pin M12 Eurofast quick disconnect which offers the customer high performance, low cost and a fast, reliable installation.
