An I/O module for the MP Bus turns the Wago-I/O-System 750 into the ideal platform for HVAC automation. The new I/O module acts as a master for the MP Bus (multipoint bus) and allows the bus to be integrated into a higher-level bus network such as Ethernet or Lonworks. The MP Bus was developed by the Swiss company Belimo and serves to control HVAC actuators like dampers, regulator valves or VAV air volume control. Devices that are equipped with an MP Bus connection, such as the Belimo MFT actuator series, can communicate with a higher-level control via bus cable.
The actuators have connections for active and passive sensors such as temperature, humidity types, and hence can also be accessed via the MP Bus. An MP Bus Master, such as the Wago I/O module, can manage up to eight slaves (actuators) via a common bus cable, which reduces the wiring of sensors and actuators considerably and also makes parameterisation easier.

Sensors & Transducers
Level 9 vehicle intervention for collision avoidance has been mandatory on South African mines since 2022, yet the effective roll-out of proximity detection systems remains slower than expected. This is not due to the technical limitations of integration but to operational readiness on site.
