Modules with M8 connection have been added to the WAGO product family of IP67-protected sensor/actuator boxes. The IP67-protected sensor/actuator boxes from WAGO can collect signals local to the machine. This type of data acquisition provides an alternative if neither IP67 fieldbus technology nor parallel wiring can be applied. The range of products, 18 versions so far, will soon be enlarged by 12 compact modules with M8 connection. The connection to the switchgear cabinet is made either via fixed PUR halogen-free cable or via an M16 plug-in connector. The modules feature an innovative marking system that allows the use of individual markers (one marker per M8 connection) or marker strips. As in the case of the M12 sensor/actuator boxes, the M8 versions can be clipped to one another using distance modules or connection clips.
