Reliable level switch now more cost effective

March 2005 Level Measurement & Control

Endress+Hauser, with more than 40 years experience of conductive level switch development and manufacture, now boasts a switch that is safe, reliable and cost effective. Liquipoint T can detect up to five different liquid level points in a tank with the advantage of having only one process connection. The process connection is a standard G11/2". Liquids can be detected 100 mm to 4 m from the electronic module with a rod version of the switch, while the rope version is adjustable from 250 mm to 15 m. Suitable operating conditions for Liquipoint T cover a wide range of liquids with a conductivity of greater than 0,5 µS, including product temperatures ranging from -20 to 100°C. Liquipoint T comes with a WHG approval (Wasserhaushaltsgesetz - a prestigious environmental protection standard) to ensure optimum safety.

Continually looking to provide more value to the customer, Endress+Hauser uses standard modules and an interchangeable electronic insert in the Liquipoint T to provide the end user with space and cost savings in terms of stock holding. This will significantly reduce plant downtime in the unlikely event of a failure.

End users can easily adjust the product's probe length after installation, saving considerable time and expense. The probe price is independent of its length, making it immaterial whether a 0,5 m or 13,8 m probe is ordered.

To complete its range of conductivity switches, Endress+Hauser also manufactures a single-channel, DIN rail mounted device. This provides high performance and functionality in applications where space is limited, or where the environmental conditions are too severe at the point of measurement.
