HR models add more speed, higher resolution and longer recording time to the array of features available in the original TroubleShooter and Ranger cameras. The original features include 640 x 480 resolution, monochrome or colour at up to 1000 frames/sec, large built-in 125 mm LCD colour display, USB-2 port computer link, Compact Flash memory, flexible trigger, multicamera synchronisation, IRIG-B time stamping, and included camera control/viewing software. The cameras can be powered by four internal D-cell batteries, a mains adapter or an external battery.

The HR models have a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels, at up to 500 full frames per second and can record up to 16 000 reduced-resolution images per second. Depending upon the memory module installed and the recording resolution selected, the TroubleShooter HR can record up to 3´ minutes at 250 frames per second and almost one full minute at 1000 frames per second. (This is impressive considering that it is a portable high-speed camera that can be held in the palm of the hand.)

While the TroubleShooter and Ranger are suitable for many applications, such as high speed machine setting, bio-mechanics, sports training, blast analysis, impact analysis, etc, the HR models offer significant improvements in resolution and speed. They can effectively meet the needs of researchers that demand higher resolution and more speed.
