The smart level sensors of the SK1-FSA series have been adjusted in the factory for standard applications. In this configuration, these level sensors are suitable for detecting aqueous media through glass or plastic walls without any further adjustment. With the factory setting, the devices are able to automatically mask out glass or plastic tank/tube walls for wall thicknesses ranging from 0,6 to 6 mm. The devices are also able to compensate for a considerable margin of foam, moisture and dirt adhering to the inside and outside of the vessel concerned.
For applications using vessels having thicker walls, the user can exceed the 6 mm wall thickness limit by altering the factory setting.
The SK1-FSA series features a capacitive sensor and integrated, self-compensating amplification circuitry and an M30 thread for mechanical mounting. They are available in PNP or NPN versions - and with a fly lead or a plug connection. Switching frequency is 2 Hz and they will operate within a -10 to +60°C temperature range.
