Siemens' global network of innovation in the field of gas chromatography has yielded the MicroSAM, a small, compact, powerful and cost-effective measuring device that is capable of performing a wide variety of measuring tasks in virtually all industrial sectors.
The MicroSAM is the smallest explosion-proof, on-line process, gas chromatograph made by Siemens. State-of-the-art technology significantly reduces cycle times, providing better information about the process. It has valveless live sample injection and column switching as well as multiple detection for verification of the measuring results. The MicroSAM is capable of being connected in parallel for several sample streams, resulting in more information per time unit. This cost-efficient device takes up little space, which saves installation, maintenance and service costs.
Siemens also manufactures the Maxum edition II, which is well suited for use in rough industrial environments and performs a wide range of applications in refineries as well as the chemical and petrochemical industries. A selection of columns and detectors permits highly selective and sensitive analysis of a very wide range of process components. The Maxum edition II uses a flexible oven concept, with temperature-programmable and energy-saving single or dual oven configurations. As with the MicroSAM, the Maxum edition II has a valveless live sample injection and column switching. If arranged in parallel it allows for multiple single-train chromatograph analysis as opposed to only single-train. The Maxum edition II features open network with TCP/IP and Ethernet for communications with PCs, other chromatographs or a DCS.
