Pressure Measurement & Control

Handheld manometers offer high accuracies

October 2004 Pressure Measurement & Control

The Blue Line series of digital handheld manometers have been designed to accurately measure pressure, vacuum and differential pressure. These Afriso meters are supplied by Instrotech in four ranges to cover a wide range of applications such as measuring burner pressure or gas-fired boilers, differential pressures across filters, pressure level switch setting, etc. The Blue Line is a suitable replacement for U and J type liquid manometers, which are known to have inherent disadvantages.

The high measuring range is ±19,99 mbar (±1999 Pa) up to ±1,999 bar (±199,9 kPa) or on a second low measuring of range 150 mbar (15kPa) to 2 bar (200 kPa). The maximum resolution on the low range is 0,01 mbar on the 150 mbar unit and 0,1 mbar on the 500 mbar, 1 000 mbar and 7 000 mbar unit.

This manometer features a large 12,7 mm 3½-digit LED display, which incorporates a low battery status indicator (expected operating life is 100 hours). Operation is via an easy to clean membrane keypad for on/off, range switching and auto zeroing functions. Optional extras include a carrying case, while a protective holster is supplied as standard.
