Single and three-phase switching PSUs

October 2004 Electrical Power & Protection

Within Grafoplast Wiremarkers' recently acquired distributorship of Italian designed and manufactured Cabur electronic products for electrical boards, is a range of single and three-phase switching, linear and filtered power supply units. The Cabur CS Series is intended for industrial applications and complies with the parameters set out by the Low Voltage Directive. The new generation of power supply units generate little heat when running at full power and the CS Series complies with EMI standards.

All models adapt to 100, 120, 230, 240 V a.c. mains with limit values from 90 to 264 V a.c. making them suitable for use in critical applications. The three-phase mains variance tolerance is to 550 V a.c. using a single model. The output voltage can be adjusted from 24 to 28 V d.c. Versions with alarm contact and 'o-ring' diodes for redundant parallel connections are available.

High power models are equipped with protection against full load overload to prevent the power supply unit from overheating which can lead to breakdowns due to insufficient panel ventilation or continual overload and high room temperatures. Models are available with or without power factor correction.

The DIN rail mount units are compact and have an IP30 standard of protection against incidental contacts according to IEC529. All the functions are located on the front panel and marked with IEC symbols, which makes it simple to use on site.
