Current meter measures leakage down to 10 µA

LEM is offering its LK60 clamp-on leakage current meter for non-invasive checks of insulation resistance. Leakage current measurement can be used to assess the state of electrical insulation without removing power from operational equipment; on both single and three phase supplies. The low current range of the LK60 (down to 10 µA) makes it particularly suitable for this application.

The clamp design ensures that current flowing in adjacent conductors does not affect the measurement of current within the conductor/s inside the clamp. The durable jaws close properly every time - this results in high measurement repeatability, even at low current levels.

The maximum 60 A measurement range of the LK60 makes it suitable for a wide range of measurement applications. The automatic filter enables it to be used on 50 or 60 Hz power systems. The 'Hold' button allows the measured value to be frozen on the display - particularly useful where the conductor being measured is in an awkward position.
