Trolex is offering an intrinsically safe battery- maintained power supply for use in group-1 hazardous areas. The UPS is supplied as a lightweight (10 kg) and compact unit enclosed in a DMC moulding. Capable of delivering 1 A at 12 V d.c. for up to 16 hours through its 4 mm terminals, it features an intelligent battery management system that is able to fast charge the NiMH battery. It is certified at IP65 ingress protection when fitted in the Trolex sheet steel enclosure. The unit is specified to operate from -20 to +40°C.
