DLM secures agency for Kamlok and Autolok

September 2004 News

DLM (Dupleix Liquid Meters) has been awarded the sole representation in southern Africa for the OPW-Civacon, Kamloks and Autolok couplings. Designed for safe coupling in liquid handling systems, the OPW-Kamlok offers the following features:

Spring ring

Finger rings that spring back so they will not get caught under the cam-arm prevent coupling closure in normal operation.

Stay-down arms

These arms are designed to resist vibration and the profile ensures secure seal between coupler and adaptor without any extra locking pins. The higher the line pressure the better the closure of the Twin-Kam arms. With one arm fully released the adaptor still remains securely in place.

Guaranteed for life

The Twin-Kam arms are guaranteed for life - in the unlikely event of one ever breaking, they are replaced free of charge.

Interchangeability

These couplings and adaptors are machined to fine tolerances in order to ensure easy coupling and interchangeability in accordance with international specifications.

OPW-Kamlok quick couplings are used around the world in a wide variety of industries where products are transferred by pipe and hose: agriculture, brewing, concrete, chemical ships, dry bulk, oil blending, mining, petroleum and petrochemical.

Autolok self-locking quick couplings are a recent innovation, and are designed to meet the increasing demands for product security and operation safety. These couplings close in the same manner as the standard Twin-Kam Kamloks. When the arms are closed they are locked automatically and stay locked until deliberately opened again. The Kam arm lock is released and the coupling opened by an easy tug with the fingertips.

DLM offers a comprehensive product portfolio and full service backup including engineering design, supply, installation, commissioning, calibration and ongoing servicing of all OPW-Civacon products.

The OPW-Civacon company was founded in 1892 and introduced the original Kamlok coupling for the US army and the US Coast Guard in the early '60s. Over the years, OPW-Civacon has developed this range to include other materials, sizes, and gaskets.
