Despite the SGC1 being a self-contained light curtain, some applications still require a controller unit and in order to ensure that the SG 1 series is as universal as possible, a controller unit was designed and developed.
The SGC 1 is a power supply unit, housed in a sturdy plastic enclosure, to be used only with the SG 1 self-contained light curtain series.
The SGC 1 is intended for installations where a DC supply voltage is not available and where an electromechanical relay output is required.
The SGC 1 is available with a 230 V a.c. or 115 V a.c. supply voltage, and supplies a fixed output voltage of 24 V d.c. to the light curtain detectors. The output from the receiver detector can be either NPN or PNP. The unit includes a green power-on indicator and a yellow output indicator.
The unit offers a special test pushbutton used to temporarily disable the transmitter power, imitating an obstruction between the light curtains for test purposes. The unit can also enable or disable the time-out function in the receiver detector, via Dipswitch.
