Instrumentation specialist, Endress+Hauser, has solved the problem of product build-up on capacitance probes at Lever Ponds' Durban soap making factory through the installation of 14 Multicap level switches in various storage vessels.
An active build-up compensation feature incorporated into the instrument means that Lever Ponds no longer has to deal with false switching, which was a frequent result of build-up on level probes.
Having proven capacitance as the measuring principle of choice, on specific applications and that it meets all Unilever requirements, Multicap has become a standard for the Lever Ponds Durban factory.
