Low-cost process moisture sensor

MoistOne.com is offering its IR 2004, a low-cost, non-contact, process moisture sensor using surface mount and blue eye technology for use with a PDA. It eliminates cumbersome processors and hard-wired operator interfaces providing high-speed and noise-free measurement.
The pre-calibrated, intelligent sensor utilises several wavelengths of near infrared light (NIR) that are projected on the product at a very high frequency. The reflected light is then measured using a digitally enhanced detection system that analyses the data several thousand times per second.
A powerful embedded PC is used to process, store and display the required data with accuracy reported to be ten times more stable than other conventional sensors. Its non-volatile data storage in flash, eliminates the need for batteries or battery backups. A software program monitors the IR 2004 allowing the user to view and adjust calibrations, parameters and diagnostics. With digital displays and graphs, the MoistOne.com software program is easy to use and can be operated on any PC or laptop.
Various options are available including water or vortex air-cooling panels, sensor window air purge, calibration check standards and a snorkel sampler.
