Designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures, the Vegaflex 66 is suitable for applications in both the food and chemical industries.
Accurate measurements can be achieved in environments with temperatures as high as 250°C and pressures of up to 10 MPa. This makes the Vegaflex 66 suitable for the pasteurising process in the food industry, where hygienic fittings are used, and for the chemical industry, for example in the measurement of liquids in bypass tubes, steam vessels or standpipes. Its reliability is unaffected by product fluctuations, build up, welded joints or vessel installations.
The Vegaflex 66 is part of the plics ('plug in concepts') family of sensors. It comes with various housings and is easy to set up with the PLICSCOM adjustment module. The plics system standardises the company's products for the fundamental measuring principles into one simple, modular approach. The result is one programming philosophy, a common interface and one remote software system, PACTware. The system also has universal displays, communication protocols, approvals, asset management tools, fittings and electronic inserts.
Vega reports that it has achieved considerable market acceptance already with its guided microwave principle of level measurement - the Vegaflex 66 is set to continue this trend with its added capabilities.
