AS-i modules with EMS interface

IFM Electronic has introduced its ClassicLine AS-i modules with EMS interface for fast and safe mounting and protection against reverse polarity in field applications.

Meeting IP 67 requirements, the modules are available in 45 and 90 mm widths with four inputs and four outputs. All controls and indicators are located on the front display and the high luminosity of the LEDs makes them particularly easy to see. The LEDs indicate switching status, operating voltage and errors, while an additional LED provides exact error location. The modules' transistor output stages are rated for triggering solenoids up to 20 W to IEC60947-5-2.

All modules can be addressed either before installation without voltage being applied or when mounted and wired via the classic FC/FC-E base with addressing socket. By means of the infrared addressing plug, the modules can also be addressed when they are wired and mounted. If required, the modules may be mounted directly on the back plane via two screw connections or on a DIN rail for faster exchange. Typical applications include for use in conveying, special machinery, handling technology and in the food industry.
