Metrix has introduced a new loop-powered 4 to 20 mA transmitter, Model ST6911, to measure and transmit the acceleration measurand of vibration.
This new unit complements the Metrix ST69XX range of low-cost loop-powered transmitters from PREI Instrumentation. The other transmitters in the range are the ST-9617 to monitor velocity and the ST6923 to monitor displacement. All the transmitters operate on a supply voltage of 11 to 30 V d.c. and terminals are polarity-independent.
All units are supplied with a 2-pin mating electrical connector assembly and have a M6 stud for mounting onto the machine bearing housing. With the addition of the ST6911, all aspects of vibration measurement on pumps, compressors, fans, gearboxes and centrifuges, etc, can be cost effectively measured and interfaced with monitoring instrumentation.
