Sub miniature photoelectric sensors
May 2004
Sensors & Transducers
A new range of sub miniature photoelectric sensors is now on offer from IFM Electronic for use where space is limited in assembly and handling applications. A complete range is offered including through-beam sensors with a 1,2 m range, diffuse reflection types with a fixed focus of 50 mm, diffuse reflection sensors with background suppression and a fixed range of 15 or 30 mm, as well as retro-reflective sensors with a range of up to 0,8 m.
All sensors have a robust plastic housing in which metal sleeves are inserted for reliable and permanent mounting and their optical lenses are made from resistant ABS plastic. Due to their small visible light spot, even tiny objects with a 1 mm diameter are reliably detected. A swivel mount clip enables quick and easy alignment and connection is made via a 200 mm long cable with a potted M8 connector or a 2 m long PVC cable. Various accessories are available including splitter boxes, mating connectors, brackets and prismatic reflectors.
