Industrial incremental solid shaft encoders

A new range of compact industrial incremental solid shaft encoders with resolutions of up to 10 000 pulses is available from Shorrock Automation. IFM Electronic's type RB/C/U/V, with universal and standard interfaces, enable direct connection to existing electronics such as PLCs, displays and electronic counters. The encoders feature a high shaft load and provide TTL or HTL quadrature output signals as the shaft rotates.
Encoders with 58 mm outside diameter are provided with inverted signals in addition to the standard signals in order to filter out interference on long cables by evaluating the difference in voltage. They offer flexible fixing possibilities and their wear-free optical detection and high quality mechanical design guarantee a long life. Meeting IP 64 requirements, the encoders are vibration and shock resistant with switching frequencies of up to 300 kHz.
