The Monitran MTN415 accelerometer has been developed for use in a wide range of applications, including the monitoring of pumps, fans, motors and turbines. The MTN415 is a fully self-contained, battery-powered unit, with unique features designed to benefit the most demanding applications.
The newly developed indicating vibration sensor requires no external power source or wiring, which is what makes it ideal for condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, short-term maintenance and troubleshooting in the remotest locations. To activate the unit, all you have to do is give it a sharp tap, with the indicator reverting to 'sleep' automatically after one minute. A lithium manganese battery gives a typical operating life of up to five years. Another important feature of the MTN415 is the integral display, allowing on-site maintenance, or machine operators, to assess the status of the equipment being monitored without the need for additional instruments.
The MTN415 is accurate, based on proven accelerometer technology, and it uses a microcontroller to process and display signals. This unit has a robust stainless steel construction, and a specially designed variable position mounting enables the sensor to be installed in any plane. This of course makes it quick and simple to attach the sensor to the equipment being monitored and provides a clear view of the two-digit LCD display.
