Ingress-resistant sensors for food pharmaceuticals

Integrated Solutions
Designed specifically for the extreme requirements found in the food and pharmaceutical industries, IFM Electronic's Efector m high grade stainless steel inductive sensors are resistant to high pressure cleaning and aggressive cleaning agents, and with their PEEK sensing face, they meet IP 68 and IP 69 K requirements.
Operating in a wide temperature range from 0 to 100°C, the sensors are also resistant to extreme changes in temperature. When subjected to a temperature shock test, the sensors were placed in 100°C boiling water for 60 minutes and then for 10 minutes in 0°C ice water where they passed successfully in more than 50 cycles.
The range consists of M12 and M18 units, with increased sensing ranges as a standard. The sensors are also protected against short circuits, reverse polarity and overloads.
