Bar code scanners

Wenglor is offering a new range of stationary line scanners and grid scanners included in the new bar code range, capable of reading 1D codes (ie bar codes), or 2D codes, for example data matrix and PDF417 formats. The digital outputs are optically coupled.

The scanners function as standalone devices or within a network via various interfaces including RS232, RS422 and RS485. Up to 50 scanners can be interconnected using a multidrop topology. Complex networking options are possible with scanners that can be linked to USB, Ethernet or Profibus systems. A variety of configuration options allow the scanners to be easily adapted to individual applications. Configuration is performed with Windows compatible software.
