Laser sensors in miniature housings
February 2004
Sensors & Transducers
Wenglor is offering laser sensors with miniature housing (32 x 16 x 12 mm), adding variants that make use of alternative operating modes. Laser sensors, retro-reflective laser light barriers and through-beam laser sensors unite the advantages of mechanical design, operating mode and laser light. The spot is readily visible with these sensors - even over great distances - allowing for easy adjustment and initial start-up.
Retro-reflective laser light barriers
The very fine beam has a diameter of less than 3 mm, thus allowing for rapid scanning of small parts with a working range of up to 4 m at a switching frequency of 2 kHz.
Through-beam laser sensors
With a working range of 10 m and a switching frequency of 5 kHz, these through-beam sensors are capable of accurately recognising very small parts from 2,5 mm in size, as well as edges.
Diffuse laser light sensor with adjustable background suppression
These diffuse laser light sensors with adjustable background suppression have been used successfully for many years. These sensors are distinguished by a 120 mm scanning width and a 1 mm spot diameter over the entire setting range. (Wenglor is exclusively represented by Randburg company, ASSTech.)
