Sensors & Transducers
The USB-48C is a counter/timer product for the USB bus. It features six 16-bit counter/timers and 48 programmable digital I/O channels. Based on the industry standard TTL 82C54 and 82C55 devices, the USB-48C communicates with the PC via the USB bus.
Counter/timers can be used for frequency measurements, pulse counting, pulse width modulation and pulse generation. They can also be programmed to generate events/interrupts at specific intervals. This can be useful for time interval generation. The 48 TTL level lines can be programmed as inputs or outputs in six banks of eight. The digital I/O can be used in the connection between a computer and the outside world. Applications include man-machine interfacing, driving high power loads, sensing switch contact closures and more.
Easy connection
Suitable for use with laptops or desktop computers, the USB-48C can be used in a lab or office or out in the field. Plug-&-play, as well as hot swappable, it is situated outside of the PC which makes for easy connection or disconnection when needed. The USB-48C is powered from 9 V d.c. and is available with a wide range of optional accessories including screw terminal adaptors, interface cables, relay boards and much more.
WaveView for Windows included with the USB-73-T/R is a free data acquisition package, which allows the user to start sampling as soon as the card is plugged in. The software package enables the user to collect and analyse data. It supports a range of personal computer PCI plug-in cards. Supplied with all compatible hardware, it is extensively configurable, easy to use and quick to learn.
