Compressed air meter with display and totaliser function

IFM Electronic has introduced the Efector Metris, a compressed air meter with display and totaliser function for decentralised monitoring, measurement and display of compressed air consumption. It is capable of detecting standard volume flows to ISO 2533 directly, eliminating the need to correct for temperature and pressure variation.
Operating with the calorimetric measuring principle, the meter has a fast <0,1 s response and a wide measuring range from 0 to 225 nm3/h, allowing even very small leaks to be detected. High accuracy and repeatability are assured as the meter's key elements are integrated in a high-grade stainless steel pipe length. The Metris is easily mounted in the supply system, or several units may be installed at several measurement points in the compressed air system
An integral four-digit LED display, plus status LEDs, allows information to be available in situ. Whether critical values relate to peak, present or accumulated consumption, set switch or alarm levels can be accessed and programmed via pushbuttons, and all settings can be protected by the electronic lock.
Operating on 19 to 30 V d.c. the Metris meets IP 65 requirements and is suitable for use in an operating temperature range from 0 to 60°C. The meter has analog, switching and pulse outputs for signal processing, and parameters are set in the user menu.
