Rugged and flexible proximity sensor

Catering to the need for low and medium range motor control switchgear, CHI Control is offering Cutler-Hammer's E57 tubular proximity sensor. The E57 offers a wide variety of voltage ranges with standard 2-wire a.c., 3-wire d.c. and 3-wire a.c./d.c, and is constructed of a stainless steel housing to resist the effects of the toughest coolants, cleaners and lubricants.

"Aside from maximised visibility in all environments offered by the bright 360° LED, the E57 offers shielded and unshielded sensing ranges; universal connectability to resistive and inductive loads; and a 50 mm thread length to comply with preferred international standards," says Rob Hare, sales director at CHI Control.

He adds that all E57 tubulars offer full UL listing and CSA certification to assure the high level of quality required for all automotive applications. "The general benefits of using this sensor range are that it offers 1000 operations per second; carries IEC IP67 enclosure ratings; has a -25 to 70°C ambient temperature range; diagnostic LED indicator (standard) and stainless steel housing."
