The Areascan light grids of the DS3 series are opto-electronic, multibeam devices that can be used to detect objects, even when small and transparent. Models with 150 or 300 mm detection field are available, suitable for the operating ranges 0,2 to 0,6 m or 0,6 to 1,5 m. All models feature internal dip-switches for configuration, together with the teach-in setting button with the remote and self-calibration function. LED indicators for the indication of operational status and the auto diagnostic function.
Synchronisation of the emitter and receiver units via cable guarantees high optical and electromagnetic interference immunity. The integrated electronics eliminates the need of an external control unit. Compact dimensions (35 x 40 mm) makes for easy installation. The Areascan light grids are suitable for many different automatic packaging applications, as well as other industrial automation tasks.
