PREI Instrumentation Natal appointed distributor for Raytek
November 2003
News
Raytek, a specialist manufacturer of non-contact infrared temperature monitoring equipment, recently awarded PREI Instrumentation Natal exclusive distribution rights for its platinum and automation products in South Africa. Raytek produces a complete line of fixed sensors and handheld temperature measurement tools for temperature monitoring in demanding industrial and manufacturing processes.
The distribution rights were awarded on the basis of PREI Instrumentation Natal's commitment to remain leaders in customer satisfaction. Formed in 1987, what is now, PREI Instrumentation Natal has been a specialised supplier of process control equipment and engineering services for over 14 years. Its application knowledge is what it believes sets it above its competitors.
This new Platinum Distribution Agreement coincides with the introduction by Raytek of the ThermoView Ti30. A thermal imager that allows maintenance technicians and industry professionals to conduct accurate and cost effective inspections. It is said to be the first thermal imager in its price category to provide detailed thermal imaging and precision temperature measurement simultaneously - using the same simple point-shoot-and-read operation of an infrared thermometer. The device has a measurement range of 0 to 250°C. The unit offers three pallets for image viewing, including rainbow, iron bow and greyscale. Up to 100 images and temperature readings can be stored in the unit and quickly downloaded either to a laptop in the field, via a standard USB connection, or back in the office using the convenient docking station provided with the unit. Both on and off camera data manipulation is available on this unit and the software, docking station, spare battery pack and soft carry case come with the unit. Launched in Milan in September, a unit has arrived in South Africa for demonstration purposes.
