Overvoltage protection for computer systems

The DEHN range of Mini modules from Surge Technology protect 2-wire, 12, 15 or 24 V systems against damage caused by lightning and power surges. With a frequency handling of up to 1, 30 and 50 MHz, the modules may be used on virtually all computer data systems, and even those operating at extremely high frequencies.

These 10 kA (8/20) devices are designed for installation where space is limited. A compact version of the standard Blitzductor, the modules are also suitable for use in instrumentation and telecommunication systems. Available in three mounting types, the Mini modules offer a plug-in type for PC boards, a module that can be soldered onto PC boards and a type that is wired directly into the electronic equipment. Another popular design is the plug-in module with a base plate that clips into standard top hat or G-type DIN rails.

Voltage ranges are standard from 8 to 24 V, however higher voltages of up to 42 V are available on request. A range of DEHN Mini modules specifically designed for power supply systems of 220 V, 10 A is also available.
