Extra short proximity switches with long sensing ranges

IFM Electronic has introduced a new range of extra short inductive proximity sensors with increased sensing ranges for use in the automation and handling industries. The IE range feature sensing ranges of 3 mm flush-mounted and 5 mm non flush-mounted, which is up to three times higher in comparison to standard switches. They are ideally suited where space is limited.
Connection is made via a robust M8 connector with an integrated and clearly visible four-port LED for indication of the output status. The total length of the cable version is only 35 mm while the connector type is only 40 mm.
The IE sensors may be used as two- or three-wire units and operate on 10 to 30 V d.c. They meet IP67 requirements, are vibration and shock resistant and are protected against reverse polarity and overloads.
