Mensor Corporation has announced the introduction of the CPT 6180 High Precision Pressure Transducer. The CPT 6180 is characterised using a new proprietary method that delivers an uncertainty of 0,01%intelliscale-50 (0,01%IS-50) with a calibration stability of 365 days.
Intelliscale is a way to describe a percent of reading uncertainty statement in an easily understood, abbreviated format. The '0,01%' denotes that the uncertainty is 0,01% of reading, the '50' denotes that the percent of reading applies to the portion of the range above 50% of full scale. Below 50% of full scale the uncertainty is 0,005% of full scale (50% of 0,01%).
The CPT 6180 is not only accurate, it is fast. With an optional high speed (250 Hz) continuous output mode, pressure can be read via the RS232 or RS485. The output is also available in a query/response mode.
