June 2008 News

Mining, Manufacturing and Process 2008 (MMP 2008) will take place in Johannesburg on 12 and 13 November. A 2-day conference aimed at CEOs, CIOs, CTOs and engineering professionals, the theme for MMP 2008 is 'Winning strategies and best practices for enterprise automation and IT in mining, manufacturing and process'.

Organised by Technews, publishers of S A Instrumentation and Control, and co-hosted by ARC Advisory Group, this conference will provide an opportunity for delegates to update their knowledge of key global trends in these technology areas and to learn of their practical and profitable application.

ARC VP & GM for Manufacturing, Dick Hill, and leading international industry analyst and commentator Jim Pinto, will present keynote addresses and participate as panellists. The balance of the panel will comprise leading local, African and international specialists and industry analysts.

ARC VP Strategic Advisory Services, Alan Williams, will also be on hand to share his experience gained at ARC, Mitsubishi and Intellution.

Fourteen vendor-neutral papers will be presented by industry experts and analysts, and the conference program provides opportunities for delegate participation in Q&A and panel discussions.

Exhibits pertinent to the conference theme will showcase featured technologies and provide executives the opportunity to view real-world products, services and developments that will keep their businesses at the forefront of global competitiveness.

Participants interested in presenting at this conference and sharing their strategic analysis, best practices or experience in the form of case studies are invited to submit an abstract of no more than 400 words, on or before 7 July, 2008. Presentations should be aimed at providing the target audience with insight into technology trends and the profitable application of automation and IT.
