For the July technology evening, the branch was fortunate to have Lloyd Townsend from WIKA present on ‘Calibration – necessary evil or quality driver?’ The presentation covered how important the subject is in relation to efficiency in order to maximise profits. Traceability and proof thereof, along with calibration hierarchy were also discussed. An interesting concept presented was the uncertainty of measurement vs. accuracy statement. The full presentation is available to interested parties.
