The Patron Members banner proudly on display at the branch year-end function.
The last meeting for the year was a social function held on 4 November to celebrate the end of the year and our achievements to date. Members were encouraged to play a round of putt-putt while the braai fires were stoked, and we welcomed some new faces along with regular members. In our short existence we have grown to around 60 members with about 25 people present on the night. After a delicious meal we wrapped up festivities with a prize-giving ceremony, where after some in depth “independent” auditing using a scientific statistical approach, the winners of the putt-putt game were awarded some lovely sponsored prizes.
Our next official meeting will be the first week in February. The committee thanks all attendees and members and we trust we can start the New Year with a lot of inspiration to grow our member base.
General
During our committee meeting in October, we co-opted the following additional portfolios/persons to the committee: Sales: Pregs Naidoo (www.Afrilek.com/) and Student Affairs: Muhammad Babamia (www.AI2SA.co.za/). The committee welcomes them and wishes them all the best in their endeavours to support the branch. It is felt that more portfolios are required and will benefit the branch and more members may be co-opted in due course. Should you wish to support SAIMC PTA at committee level please make contact, we need all the help we can get to establish our brand and footprint at a regional level.
Branch meetings will be held the first Wednesday of the month at Centurion Country Club – access code is sent following a booking. Should you wish to participate, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Also please help us to spread the word by forwarding newsletters to prospective members with an interest in C&I and associated disciplines.
