Yokogawa Electric Corporation has announced that two Yokogawa employees and its subsidiary, Yokogawa Solution Service Corporation, have received awards from the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers. These are for a scientific paper, contributions toward the establishment of international standards, and the development of a methodology.
The Outstanding Paper Award was won by Hisanori Hayashi for a paper titled ‘Intrinsic safety for wireless hydrogen gas sensors’. The Technology Award was won by the Yokogawa Solution Service Corporation for its work to get DCSs running again at plants that had been damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake. The International Standardization Award was won by Toshi Hasegawa for contributions made towards ANSI/ISA-100.11a-2011: Wireless systems for industrial automation.
