KITE 2017 for industrial technology solutions

July 2017 IT in Manufacturing

With a history spanning over 36 years, the KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE) has been a launchpad for best practice technologies over the years.

This year’s event to be held at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 26 to 28 July will showcase new and updated industrial technologies in the province. The exhibition will be characterised by its interactive nature, with demonstrations providing simulated real-life experiences for visitors.

Among the range of technologies on offer contributing to improved productivity and enhanced ROI will be speciality lubricants from Klüber Lubrication, bushings and wear plates from Vesco Plastics, rivets and stainless steel fasteners from The Fastener Factory, and industrial control valves from Ultra Control Valves and AZ-Armature. Another highlight will be Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure and its Altivar Process variable speed drives and Modicon Ethernet PAC. Omron will showcase its Sysmac motion solutions, incorporating robotic and visual inspection control.

Further attractions will include load cells from Loadtech, the Samba PLC from Unitronics, Eplan’s Cogineer software solution and high pressure fluid connectors from Fluiconnecto by Manuli, as well as Busch’s oil rotary vane for the food packing industry and Watson-Marlow’s clean pumping solutions for food and beverage applications. Zeno Airshaft Specialists’ CoreCover Plan for preventative maintenance and ISO consultancy services by IMSM will also be showcased.

This year’s event will feature the addition of the Propak Africa Pavilion and other attractions aimed at maximising visitor time at the show. These include the Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association special interest group and the Lifting Equipment Association of South Africa conference. Not only will KITE provide visitors with a concentrated overview of best practice industrial technology and services under one roof, but it will be jampacked with value added visitor events.
