Pressure measuring instruments by WIKA are used in all fields of the municipal water supply: in production and preparation of raw water to obtain drinking and sanitary water, as well as for water storage and distribution.
The measuring instruments are also used in most diverse fields of municipal wastewater treatment, e.g. in overfall, rain retention and aeration basins, settling ponds, raking systems, filter presses, digester towers, as well as in compressed air supply. WIKA has a wide standard range of mechanical and electronic pressure measuring instruments and submersible pressure transmitters.
Specifically, the Model 80 and 80L hydraulic pipeline tester is a portable unit suitable for the accurate measurement of arbitrary and fluctuating pressure, which can occur in power plants, pipelines and other applications such as municipal water supply and wastewater treatment plants.
Manufactured by WIKA’s DH Budenberg division, the Model 80/80L is suitable for applications such as leak and yield strength testing; detection of frictional pressure losses along pipelines; monitoring of gas pressure associated with flow metering; measurement of well head gas pressure and hydraulic test pressure of riser pipe; and measurement of steam pressure for efficiency testing.
