NewElec’s NH Series relays are designed to protect motors in various LV applications from 5 to 550A. If required, percentage calibration is available and the modular design permits door, chassis or CT module block mounting. Providing increased safety and efficiency, the relays extend motor life and prevent unscheduled shutdowns and lost productivity by detecting harmful electrical conditions before damage occurs. The NH relays provide a multiple mounting option with all the required features to protect three-phase TEFC motors.
Additional protection is provided for overloading, earth leakage, phase unbalance, phase loss, start and running locked rotor conditions. The user-selectable cold curves range from Class 2.5 to 32.5 on a single dial. The hot curve value is limited at 30% of the selected cold curve with full thermal memory. In order to maintain Type 2 co-ordination, the NH relays block the main trip relay when earth leakage currents exceed eight times motor full load current. If the auxiliary power supply is lost after a trip, full restoration of the fault indicating LEDs and the thermal capacity LED bar graphs are enabled.
